LANCER at 55: Supporting the writers
Suzanne, who runs the Lancer Writers group on IO where so many of our archived stories are born, suggests that “…one of the best ways for fans to celebrate 55 Years of Lancer would be if more Lancer fans supported all the writers who are doing their best to keep Lancer alive! We still have people rediscovering Lancer and joining all the various sites but so many seem hesitant to contribute by dropping a few lines of feedback. So, Lancer fans, if you indulge in our stories and enjoy the efforts of our writers, please encourage them to write more by leaving feedback at the various sites.”
We here at the Gateway couldn’t agree more! We have over 4000 stories listed here now, either directly archived by us or via links to external sites. So many writers have put their hearts and souls into keeping the memory of Scott and Johnny Lancer alive, and truly the only payment they ever get is the appreciation of the readers. It’s easy now to comment by using the ‘reply’ box at the bottom of each archived story, and, even if you’re a bit shy about going into literary criticism mode (LOL!) it’s easy just to say “Thank you! I really enjoyed that!”
So don’t be shy! Speak up and support a Lancer writer near you!

LANCER at 55: Memorabilia
We have some. Do you?
Ours range from mousemats to glass coasters, via mugs and t-shirts and etched glass paperweights… What about you? If we promise to take a few photos and share what we have, do you want to join in?
Send us photos of whatever memorabilia you have, and we’ll put it all together so we can share all the fun!

The Gateway Archive Team is growing!
We’re delighted to tell you that Diana (Buckskin) has joined Anna, Karen, Sandy and Ronnie in the archiving team managing the email box and the comments that readers make on stories, and archiving the new stories that come in every month.
It’s wonderful to have her with us. She’s already shown great patience and dedication — let’s just say Google didn’t make it easy to get her added to the Gateway emails, and draw a veil over some of the choicer expressions from the rest of us while she determinedly battled on against technology blips that would have felled a lesser person — and we are thrilled to have her on board.
